Last Autumn, I invented this one when we had too
many pears from our pear tree!
Peel and core 8 pears (or more). Put in a greased ovenproof dish. Mix 2 cup rolled oats, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/2 cup butter together. Sprinkle over top of pears. Place in preheated oven (350 degrees F) for about 45 minutes or until well browned and you see the pear juice bubbling. Serve with a dollop of Greek yogurt on the side. Serves 6 |
